If you’ve visited Waterside Workshops within the past year, you’ve probably noticed the major development project happening on our street. Construction on Bolivar Drive has been ramping up in recent weeks, and we are now facing a total street closure. Soon, Waterside will not be accessible to pedestrians, cyclists, or motor vehicles.
As a result, we will be closing our shops from July 11 until August 5. During this time, Street Level Cycles, Community Open Shop, and Berkeley Boathouse will not be open to the public.
Although our shops will be inaccessible, we are focusing on carrying out our mission in creative ways. We have several outdoor trips planned for our youth participants, and we will continue to accept bike donations on a case-by-case basis (email [email protected] to make a donation pickup request).
While we are closed, you can support our communityprograms by making a donation, purchasing a gift card, or placing an order on our online shop. All online orders will be fulfilled after we reopen on August 5.
We are sad to have to close our doors, but we are also excited for the improvements this project will bring to our campus, park, and community. Thank you for your flexibility and support while we navigate this closure together!
