Over the weekend, we hosted a group ride for our youth interns to Point Molate Beach Park in Richmond. We rode 24 miles round-trip, taking the scenic Bay Trail from start to finish. For more than half of the interns who attended, this was the longest ride they had ever been on.
When we arrived at the beach, we gazed the SF Bay, the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, and dramatic rain clouds gathering over Mt. Tamalpais. One student, after running up and down the beach in awe of his surroundings, exclaimed, “This is one of the best moments in the history of moments!”
Introducing youth to the joys and benefits of biking is a key component of Waterside’s mission, and we are thrilled to witness the development of the next generation of bike enthusiasts and advocates.
