Meet Rebecca Grove
Waterside is thrilled to share that we have completed the search for our new Executive Director. This June, we welcomed Rebecca Grove to our team! Rebecca oversees the management and operations of Waterside, ensuring that the organization engages youth and the community through hands-on learning in bicycle mechanics, wooden boatbuilding, and outdoor education. She is responsible for visioning, strategic planning, goal-setting and measurement.
With more than 20 years of experience in fundraising and programming for nonprofit organizations dedicated to social justice, Rebecca has proven effectiveness in securing public, private, and corporate funding. She nurtures stakeholder relationships through strong communication and personal interaction. She is a writer and editor who delights in language and gives voice to Waterside’s vision, progress, and impact. And, most importantly, she enjoys riding her bike, boating, and spending time with youth in the great outdoors.
We are so excited to welcome Rebecca to the team!
What’s next?
You can meet Rebecca in-person at a Waterside community cookout at the Berkeley Marina! This casual event will start at 5:30pm on Friday, August 18 at the Shorebird Park Nature Center. Grab some food, connect with the Waterside community, and enjoy beautiful views of the East Bay.
