We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful spring day to bike around the perimeter of Angel Island! Lukas, a bike mechanics intern at Waterside, commented that the views of the Bay were probably the best he’s ever seen.
We explored several historic sites, learning about the Coast Miwok who used the land for hunting and fishing, as well as Angel Island’s tragic history of detaining Chinese immigrants and Japanese Americans.
We will definitely visit again in the future for more biking, exploring, and learning!
