We’re excited to share that the California E-Bike Incentive Project has officially launched. This new project, launched on December 18, 2024, provides up to $2,000 of point-of-sale incentives to support the purchase of a new electric bicycle.
This initial phase will allow for the purchase of 1,500 e-bikes across California on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the program is set to expand later in 2025. Income-qualified approved applicants will receive a base voucher of $1,750 and an additional $250 for accessories which can be applied when purchasing an e-bike, meaning no upfront costs for recipients. To qualify, an individual should have a gross annual household income of less than $45,180 (or $61,320 for a family of 2 and $93,600 for a family of 4). See if you qualify here. The application must be completed online by an adult resident of California.
*Applications for the first 1,500 e-bike vouchers have closed and will reopen in 2025 when the program is expanded. If you’d like to be contacted about future e-bike incentive programs, please fill out this form.*
